Pattern of the Test

The test comprised three sections: General, Technical, and Coding Aptitude.

The General section included Verbal, Quantitative, Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretations.

In the Technical section, candidates were tested on Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, and Data Structures.

The Coding section assessed candidates on Data Structures, Algorithms, and other related topics.

 

Group/Case Discussion

Technical Interview

During the Technical Interview, which lasted between 25 to 50 minutes, candidates faced questions on various topics such as Android development, machine learning, SQL, and application-based scenarios.

Additionally, questions were asked on the candidate’s favorite technical subjects, including DBMS and Data Structures, with coding exercises in Java.

Other topics covered in the interview included C++, JavaScript, strings, HTML, mathematics, and puzzles.

Candidates were also given basic coding questions and puzzles, along with inquiries related to their CV.

 

HR Interview

The HR Interview, lasting between 15 to 50 minutes, focused on behavioral aspects and background information. Questions ranged from family background to personal interests and daily life.

Candidates were asked about their motivations for joining HSBC and questioned about their projects and favorite applications.

The interview concluded with basic introductory questions about the candidate’s family and other relevant details.
