Selection Process: Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview
Pattern of the Test
Beginning with a combined general aptitude and technical test. The test lasted 90 minutes and covered a range of topics.
The technical section included questions on electrical subjects such as Electrical Machines, Power Systems, and Switchgear and Protection.
The aptitude section tested logical interpretation, quantitative aptitude, and verbal reasoning skills.
Group/Case Discussion
Candidates participated in two group discussions (GD) within groups of 10-12 students.
The first GD topic was “Work from Home: Advantages and Disadvantages,” and the second was “Hike in Oil Prices.” These discussions aimed to evaluate candidates’ confidence and leadership skills.
Technical Interview
The technical interview focused primarily on the candidates’ final year capstone projects, summer training experiences, and fundamental knowledge of electrical subjects.
Revision of core subjects and thorough understanding of all details mentioned in the CV were crucial for clearing this round.
HR Interview
The HR and technical interviews were combined into a single 30-minute session.
During this interview, HR questions centered on assessing the candidates’ weaknesses and strengths, leadership experiences involving managing large teams in college, ability to work under pressure, and knowledge about recent projects undertaken by the organization.
Preparing thoroughly about the company, understanding one’s strengths, and exhibiting confidence in one’s skills were key factors for successfully clearing the HR round.
