Selection Process: Test (online), Personal Interview
Pattern of the Test
The Technical Test lasted 90 minutes and comprised 27 questions, including 2 design questions, 5 diagram questions (subjective), and 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) mixing technical and aptitude topics, though only 2-3 questions focused on aptitude.
The topics covered in the test included Digital Electronics (combinational circuits, sequential circuits, number systems, static timing analysis, finite state machines) and Analog Electronics (MOSFETs, gain of single-stage amplifiers, diodes).
Group/Case Discussion
—
Technical Interview
The Technical Interview consisted of two rounds, with each interview focusing heavily on the candidate’s projects. Additionally, basic questions on electronics, such as the response of circuits and the gain of single-stage amplifiers, were asked.
HR Interview
The HR Interview, conducted via a phone call and lasting 10-15 minutes, included basic questions about the candidate’s background, family, and education.
Candidates were also asked to provide a brief overview of their projects, express their preference between digital and analog electronics, and explain their reasons for choosing NXP.
Questions on their thoughts about pursuing higher studies were also discussed.
