Note to UG 1st Year Students (2024 Intake): Viva Voce Syllabus for "Aptitude and Soft Skills"

The Centre for Training & Development (CTD) will be conducting a Viva Voce as part of the evaluation for the credit course “Aptitude and Soft Skills,” which was taught during the recent Boot Camp. Please note the following in this context:

Overview:
The viva voce will consist of 5-6 questions and will evaluate both your learnings from the boot camp and your soft skills.

1. Question Break-up:

  • Q1: A short presentation (2-3 minutes, verbal form, and not PPT) on your key learnings during the boot camp.
  • Q2: A short presentation (2-3 minutes, verbal form, and not PPT) on any one skill taught in the boot camp, highlighting its application to employability.
  • Q3-Q6: Questions will focus on soft skills, such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, based on your interaction with the panel.

2. Cross Discussions:

You may be asked to participate in cross-discussions on general topics of interest, engaging with the panel and other students to demonstrate your interactive and soft skills.

3. Dress Code:

Students are required to attend the viva voce in formal attire.

We encourage you to be well-prepared and use this opportunity to showcase your understanding of the topics covered in the boot camp as well as your interpersonal skills.

For any further clarification or in case of any queries/requests, please reach out to CTD at training@thapar.edu.

Best of luck!
